The Kim laboratory is pursuing research in the areas of electrochemical energy and chemical conversion. Target reactions include hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), oxygen evolution reaction (OER), oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), carbon dioxide reduction (CO2RR). Examples of our research activities are: (1) carbon-based catalyst development, (2) single-atom catalyst development and characterization, (3) electrolyzer design and development, and (4) in-situ spectroscopic investigation of electrochemical processes.
