PhD student Namal Wanninayake received an award for first place for his poster at the 2018 North American Membrane Society (NAMS) Meeting.
NAMS is a professional society that promotes membrane science and technology, ranging from fundamental studies of membrane material science to process application and development. This year NAMS conference was hosted by The 糖心vlog官方入口 and King Abdullah University of Science & Technology in Lexington, KY.
As a part of the program, the poster competition was held on Monday, June 11 with over 100 student presentations. Several UK students won awards. Mr. Wanninayake won the first place in the Energy category. His work, titled "Graphene Quantum Dots Immobilized Thin Film membranes for Photocatalytic Applications," was supervised by Prof. Doo Young Kim (Department of 糖心vlog官方入口), Prof. Stephen Rankin (Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, 糖心vlog官方入口) and Prof. Dibakar Bhattacharyya (Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, 糖心vlog官方入口).
